Don’t be fooled- identifying synthetic diamonds and stones

Recently we have had an influx of synthetic stones coming into our lab for stone removal.  The challenge is properly identifying these stones.

Many of these stones do not react to acid, which is generally a sign that the stone is a diamond.

Yesterday the GIA issued a video detailing how to properly identify these types of stones. Since we are not gemologists here we defer to the experts.  Check out these two great articles.
